Training Training material ranging from recorded undergraduate and graduate lecture notes (and even a few videos of actual lectures) from American Ivy League Universities to web sites specializing in specific sectors provide a wealth of free training material to aid in understanding and analysing data. Both the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Harvard University are making available detailed material including lecture notes, exams and sometimes even streaming videos of lectures for many of their courses. Other sites provide information on analytical material for specific sectors. We have attempted to list only reputable sites, but we cannot take any responsibility for the accuracy of the material on the sites.
University Courses (free resources) -- Harvard and MIT both provide free material from many of
their classes. Web Sites -- Geography -- The web site About Geography ( http://geography.about.com/mbody.htm ) provides links to other geography sites and information about various geographic concepts. For example, on population you can find information on topics like Age-Sex Pyramids, Demographic Transition and Life Expectancy. Mathematics -- Drexel University provides The Math Forum@Drexel ( http://mathforum.org/math.topics.html ) which provides links to resource material/explanations of mathematical terms for school, university and advanced mathematics topics.
