United Nations -- Data on the urban/rural indicators related to the Millennium Development Goals is available at http://unstats.un.org/unsd/mi/mi_goals.asp . The United Nations World Population Prospects data base creates population projections at the country level, including projections of urban and rural populations. The site permits the selection of projections for up to five countries and up to five variables (for example population, urban population, rural population) per search for the period 2000 to 2050. World Bank -- The World Bank provides urban and rural development data in time series on its subscription data base  World Development Indicators data base. You can get the data for the latest year for a single country from links on http://www.worldbank.org/data/databytopic/databytopic.html .
