The World Bank provides time series data for many countries on Information Technology in its subscription database, the World Development Indicators (WDI). Free information is available from the bank including a summary of country data in pdf format with the most recent data on internet users, newspapers, TV and radio. This information is available at The Information Age -- http://www.worldbank.org/data/wdi2003/pdfs/table%205-11.pdf . The Bank also provides the latest data for the Information Technology indicators on a country by country basis at World Bank -- The World Bank provides urban and rural development data in time series on its subscription data base  World Development Indicators data base. You can get the data for the latest year for a single country from links on http://www.worldbank.org/data/databytopic/databytopic.html .
